Gangaur

Isn't it incredible that you can see another individual's Faith. Best thing about Faith is that Faith is never ending. It can never die or expire but it can definitely transfer from one person to another. That is the thing about faith,it demands to be felt. I am so glad that I could witness one such incidence. These pictures were taken by me on 22nd of March 2015. These pictures represents the Festival of Gangaur.

Gana represents Lord Shiva, whereas Gaur represents Goddess Parvati who is also known as Gauri. Gangaur is the celebration of Spring, Harvest and Marital fidelity.fidelity. Puja Thali, flowers, kajal, Sandalwood (chandan), Henna (mehendi), sliver, money, Sweet(Bhog) etc are the essence of Gangaur. Married women pray for the welfare and the blessing of long life for their husband, whereas the unmarried girls pray so that they get a good Husband.

Each Picture represents something that is a tradition which is followed by our ancestors since a very long time which is indeed very beautiful. It is good to know that there are still few set of people who even after being an active member of the World Renowned Rat race still find time to nurture and pass on the tradition to the next generation.
