A Rendezvous With German Musican Prem Joshua
"Where words leave off, music begins."
There are some words that transcend the language
barrier, some that resonate with multitude of cultures regardless of the
boundaries; where the word in itself becomes the source of joi de vivre.
‘Music’ is one such word.
Sometimes, we cross paths with some exceptional
individuals in our life and that changes the entire course of the way we think
and react. One such priceless encounter was meeting the Sitar Man aka Prem
Joshua and experiencing the live music that was played in an event at “Upvan” Rajwadu, Jivaraj park, Ahmedabad.
Music has always been a matter of energy.
Sentimental people call it inspiration but in reality it is actually a fuel. A
fuel to your soul. A rendezvous with this unrivalled man who plays music that
once admitted to the soul, becomes sort
of spirit that never dies. This man along with his band needs no introduction
as he is the pioneer of a crossover sound that is nestled at the cusp of
Eastern and Western innovation. Their music seems effortless and beautiful. It
gives hope to those who are in despair. On 17th December 2017, Internationally famous Prem Joshua &
Band's contemporary musicians showcased their talents to Ahmedabad.
Knowingly or unknowingly we all belong to the rat
race, where we strive hard to make a mark. Where we struggle to make things
happen for good and somewhere in following this process we tend to forget what
we need, what our body needs moreover what our soul needs. It is not a
difficult word, neither is it impossible to achieve. "Peace" that is
that one thing that we all need, but it is usually ignored, and taken for
granted. Moreover it is thought to be found in materialistic world, which is
definitely not true.
Prem Joshua and Band led Ahmedabad to the way of
finding peace. They mesmerized everyone with meditation through their music and
dance. This concert was a great
opportunity for all the music, meditation and dance lovers. It was a real treat
for Amdavadis in this winters to discern such soothing music organized by
Mitray Spiritual Club. Ms. Bhhuumika Trivedi (Tarot decoder, numerologist,
crystotherapist, chakra healer) and renowned Poet Ankit Trivedi are the
Directors of Mitray Spiritual Club. The purpose of this concert was to let
people experience peace, also to let them interact with self and the divine.
"Music indeed is a worship in itself."
Not only from Ahmedabad or Gujarat, music lovers
from near a far witnessed this divine retreat. It was an honour to be a part of
this magnificent event. My take away was peace. What was yours?
